Here you will meet John Spalding who boasts the #1 collection of vintage, rare, and original copyrighted, 100+ year old photographs of American Steam Tractors.

The Early Years:

Steam TractorThe true origin of “Spalding’s Corner” had to have its roots firmly planted at the Central States Threshermen’s Reunion in Pontiac, Illinois. On Labor Day weekend, in 1960, at the tender age of 4, John F. Spalding was being led around America’s second oldest steam tractor show by his mother, Peg Spalding, the editor and chief photographer for The Magazine of Livingston County. Year after year, while his mother spent days at 4-H Park taking photos of the show, John was allowed to explore this loud, powerful, and exciting new world. For the next 16 years straight, John played over every engine, haystack, threshing machine, and exhibit that the reunion had to offer. He could traverse 4-H Park with his eyes closed! Thus began John’s intense love and fascination with the amazing North American steam tractor.

The Spalding Collection

In the late 1970s John, while browsing a local flea market, stumbled upon a 1910 real picture postcard (rppc) of a J. I. Case 110 hp steam tractor plowing the soil in North Dakota. For a mere dollar bill, Spalding’s addiction to vintage steam tractor photographs was born. Since that day, John F. Spalding has scoured garage sales, flea markets, the Internet, estate sales, auctions, and --yes-- even eBay, to find those rare historical photographs.

I thought my father made the best peanut brittle, with all due respect to him, your brittle is by far the best I’ve ever had.

  3. Richard Dutton Says:

I have never had such a bounty of nut’s in a brittle. There are hundreds of brittles out there but non can compare to the amount of nuts in a bag. The taste is origanal and leaves you taste buds wanting more. Once you taste this you will never want any other brand. Way to go Brittle Brothers, you have won a happy customer. I will be back soon.

  4. Dr. Roy Elam Says:

“I’m a true peanut brittle lover and this is the best I have ever tasted. It’s also the healthiest peanut brittle because of so many peanuts and not as much brittle…kudos to you!” Dr. Roy Elam, Nashville

  5. Barbara Fox Says:

“I shared your peanut brittle with my neighbors. All of us agree that it is the best we have ever tasted. I’ll be ordering Brittle Brothers to give as my holiday gifts next year!” Barbara Fox in Georgia

  6. William Finch Says:

Website Looks almost as good as the peanut brittle tastes. How do you get so many peanuts in your brittle anyway? I guess the world will never know. . . William Finch, Bowling Green, Ky

  7. Craig Says:

    FABULOUS!!!

  8. Jim in Kentucky Says:

Man!!! This is the best Brittle I have ever tasted. It is the first that I have eaten that is not hard as a rock or so soft that it sticks to the dental work. You could have called It Goldielocks Brittle because It Is just right. Great product I will get more. P.S. The Bears can’t have mine.

  9. Tim Weitz Says:

First had your peanut brittle as a meeting gift during a conference in TN. Outstanding! Went through 3 or 4 bags in about an hour. Truly the best I think I have ever had and I’ve eaten quite a bit of it in my life … and I’m gray haired and long in the tooth.

  10. Ernie Says:

Connie said this was the best peanut brittle she has ever had. She wanted more and more……

  11. George Cox Says:

    Howdy,

You brought some of your peanut brittle to a recent Tennessee Titans tailgate party. I am no big fan of peanut brittle because, as you correctly observed, most of it is “all brittle, no peanut”. But I am now a big fan of YOUR peanut brittle because it is the best I have ever had. I was going to buy some for my Dad for a Christmas present, but I think I might buy the
chocolate covered version as a present for myself. Keep up the good work!

  12. Susan Walker Says:

I’d like to phone in an order using my credit card because I do not use PayPal. Can I do this?

I am obssessed with your brittle! It is absolutely wonderful. I worship it. I keep a bag next to my bedstand. Compliments to the fact that it is so stuffed with peanuts (which i love) I’m highly allergic to peanuts, but I suffer through the hives and swelling for you Brittle Brothers. I will be buying some more brittle very soon, and plan to give it as gifts for christmas. Thank you so much for you amazing contribution to america! By the way, i live with my mother and she also adores the stuff. She always steals it from me. Thankyouu.

    Bobby Jones, 57
